Hello! I am a student at DePauw University (class of 2017) with a strong interest in paleontology and a growing background in scientific outreach. I am currently majoring in Geology and minoring in Religious Studies.
I aim to become involved in paleontological research, with the eventual goal of a doctorate, and continue to encourage the young and old to become interested in our planet’s rich past.
I have volunteered at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis for a number of years now and conduct workshops with a strong earth-science focus to seventh and eight graders at Greencastle Middle School. I am also an activities assistant at Asbury Towers Retirement Home, and have worked as a camp counselor for Richmond Parks and Recreation. You can read more about my experiences by looking at my resume.
In addition to that, and perhaps most importantly, I was one of those lucky children who never quite grew out of their dinosaur phase, and thus have a strong and earnest enthusiasm for natural history.
